The Madagascar 3: “Furry vs. The Fuzz” video adventure was an immersive narrative interactive experience presented as a series of simple and fun mini Flash games that played out like an animated choose-your-own-adventure short film on YouTube. We developed a script/VO for Tom McGrath (The film’s Director and voice of Skipper) and custom animation loops with the Dreamworks Animation team to create "Madagascar 3: Skipper needs your help" to kick off our experience with Skipper breaking the third wall… and pretty much everything else in the experience too... After it’s launch it quickly evolved into a massive viral hit with over 10 million views.

In the experience, users were tasked with helping Alex and the gang navigate their way across Europe with Captain Dubois hot on their tail. As usual, with each stop the animal gang will get into more trouble than initially intended, and users must help them navigate their way out of the mess and avoid being captured by Captain Dubois. From penguin extraction, to controlling the L.A.R.V. (Luxury Assault Recreational Vehicle), to manning the Monkey Powered Super-Plane's banana cannon, the entire story (whichever path the user chose) was edited from the then incomplete and unreleased full length film to create several unique seamless storylines, crossing paths at specific points where the user chose the next piece of the adventure.
