A unique interactive streaming platform
SILENT HILL: Ascension was an interactive horror streaming series released weekly across the App Store, Google Play, Ascension.com, Sony Pictures Core, and Tubi platforms.
Not just a series, but also an entire streaming platform with video-on-demand, live stream quick-time events users could participate in as a community, chat, mini-games, goals, achievements, and of course, stickers which have became meme-worthy.
SILENT HILL: Ascension earned a Creative Arts Emmy Award for Outstanding Innovation in Emerging Media Programming as well as 2 Webby Awards.
A Modular responsive design system for rapid iteration
I led UI/Visual design and design systems, platform scalability, and UI animation while overseeing technical handoff in collaboration with engineering teams to ensure smooth implementation across platforms.
The design system needed to be simple enough to iterate rapidly while also being robust enough to be able to skin any feature. Chat, for example, was completely rebuilt using the design system.
As part of the UX/UI team, we created the platform’s full UX, UI, animations, quick-time events, and mini-games from scratch while supporting weekly live-ops content schedules and localization throughout the series run.
